a.Install BioScan10 device drivers from the CD:

Browse the CD or provided setup files to get the "2. Drivers" folder, select the appropriate "setup.exe" and run the setup to install the drivers.

The driver will ask to install “DactyScan84 drivers, select yes, and follow the default steps.

after the successful driver installation,we can see drivers on the following path:
(start->control panel->device manager)

b.Install BioEnable fingerprint VDM from the CD

BioEnable fingerprint VDM is present at "3. VDM Setup" folder,click on "setup.exe" and follow the instructions.

after the successful VDM installation,we get following components under (start->All programs->BioEnable->VDM) menu:
a.BioEnable FP VDM Console

b.BioEnable VDM Configuration Manager

4.How to configure BioScan10 fingerprint scanner with BioEnable’s fingerprint VDM:

before using the fingerprint scanner with VDM(Vendor Device Manager),it has to be configured, and to configure, Following steps needs to be taken:

1) open configuration utility

2) find out the computer IP (where Aadhaar Device Manager is installed)

3) Set the Aadhaar Device Manager(DM) IP & port in configuration utility

4) restart the VDM(Vendor Device Manager) service

Following screens show how to achieve , above steps...

1)Open configuration utility from the following path “All programs ->BioEnable-> BioEnableVDMConfigurationManager.”(shown as below)

2)Find out the computer IP (where Aadhaar DM is installed),for that:-Open command prompt and type “ipconfig”, to get the IP Address.(see next image)

3)Set the Device Manager(DM) IP & port values in configuration utility: Enter the IP address of your computer in the field "DM Server IP" and click on “Save” button. (see below figure)

4)Restart the VDM service: to see the change effect. Please Restart the VDM Service by Clicking on “Stop Service” Button and then Click on “Start Service “ Button.

5.Now we can start using BioScan10 Fingerprint scanner with Aadhaar Client Application (version 1.2.3.0).

1)Open Aadhaar application and enter login details:

BioScan10 fingerprint device detected successfully,now we can start with the enrolment process

6.How to assign biometric exception:

1.To start with biometric exception process,click on “Biometric Exceptions” button which is present on "Demographics" tab.
